Grant Proposals

In Canada, government grants are available for a multitude of purposes. Our team has experience with a wide range of grant types including business start-ups and expansions, Indigenous  entrepreneurship, marketing, research, infrastructure, community development, tourism, food security, climate change adaptation, Indigenous traditional economy, art/craft, agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, food processing, film/television, and tech.

Our grant proposal service includes the following:

  • Initial discussions to determine your funding needs. From the outset, we want to thoroughly understand your organization, your project ideas, and your funding requirements.
  • Identification of all grant programs relevant to your proposed project(s). This includes liaising with program staff to confirm eligibility.
  • Development of a funding strategy that makes the best possible use of available programs.
  • Completion of grant application forms and supplemental information. Depending on the program and the project, this can range from the completion of a relatively brief form to multiple, complex forms with extensive additional information requirements.
  • Submission of your grant application. Preparation of final project reporting and, if required, interim reporting.

Loan Proposals and Business Plans

Business and other commercial loan proposals can be complex and time consuming to prepare. In addition to complicated forms, many lenders will require a detailed business plan as part of your loan application.

Our team has extensive experience with business planning and business loan proposal development. We will help you identify the best loan options for your needs, whether that be from a commercial bank, or through a government loan program. If your project qualifies for grant funding, we will advise you of that as well. We will help you find the best possible mix of funding for your project.

Do-It-Yourself…With a Little Help from Us

If you have the time and expertise to develop your own business funding proposals, but just need a helping hand in a few specific areas, we can help. Some common ways we help the do-it-yourselfers include:

  • Identifying all funding programs relevant to your project.
  • Developing a funding strategy for your organization.
  • Developing your project budget.
  • Developing detailed financial projections complete with underlying assumptions and notes.
  • Reviewing your draft proposal and providing feedback.
